Tanner Street Bermondsey Southwark London Central London SE1 3LE
Looking for free things to do in Tanner Street Park and the London area? Below is a selection of paid and free activities in Tanner Street Park
(FREE Access Site)
Tanner Street Park is operated by Southwark Borough Council and is situated in Bermondsey, South East London.
The main sports facilities available at Tanner street Park are four hard tennis courts which are all completely free for the local community with no advanced booking required just turn up and play. Since there is currently no booking system getting on a court really depends on the time of day and year. Summer weekday evenings and weekends inevitably are the most popular time of the year although there are often games going throughout the year.
Whilst the tennis courts could do with resurfacing, they are only 10 minutes walk from London Bridge, which makes them extremely easy to get to and rare for that area of Central London. However we wouldn't recommend driving as parking around Tanner Street is lethally expensive at pretty much at any time of the day and it is within the congestion charge zone.

It isn't currently possible to book a tennis court at Tanner Street, you simply just turn up and play and if necessary, wait your turn to get on court.
There are a couple of tennis coaches operating on the Tanner Street Park tennis courts with private and group coaching available. Look out of group sessions or notices on the noticeboard with details about any Tanner Street Park tennis activities.
The nearest station is London Bridge which is only around 10 minutes' walk away and has mainline rail services and underground (Northern and Jubilee lines).
