Overview
The Market Road Football Pitches are near to Caledonian Road in the London Borough of Islington and slap next door to the Islington Tennis Centre. Rare for this close to central London, it offers not one but two full-size 3g artificial surface pitches (atps) that can be used for 11-a-side, 8-a-side and 5-a-side football depending on how much pitch you require. They can also be used for other sports such as tag rugby or general training.
The Market Road is very popular, particularly during weekday evenings with football leagues, block bookings and a comprehensive sport and coaching programme for juniors. Overall the Market Road football pitches are some of the most popular football pitches in Islington, particularly given their 3g surface.
