The Battersea Park Millennium Area has a multitude of sports facilities including an athletics track, Battersea Park gym, 12 tennis courts, netball courts and two well lit astroturf football pitches.
The floodlit Battersea Park athletics track is dominates this South London sports facility and is home to the Battersea Park running club as well as several other London running clubs. IT is extremely popular during the evenings whether in the winter or summer. The infield is also often used by rugby teams for training throughout the year.
There are 12 Battersea Park tennis courts next to the athletics track in Battersea Park which also offer tennis lessons. Pay and play is possible, but membership (approx �40/yr) is required to book the tennis courts over the phone.
The two Battersea Arena astroturf football pitches are fairly wide/large and suit 6/7 a side football rather than Battersea Park 5 a side football, unless you have a team of marines. They are floodlit and tend to be very popular in evenings throughout the year but are often available during daylight hours.
There is also a cheap gym in Battersea Park which presents extremely good value for money on either a contract or pay as you go basis. Full changing facilities are also available in the main Battersea Arena clubhouse, with showers, toilets.
