Bexley High Street Bexley Greater London DA5 1AA
Looking for free things to do in Freemantle Hall and the Bexley area? Below is a selection of paid and free activities in Freemantle Hall
Freemantle Hall is located on Bexley High Street and has a hall for hire for various activities such as kids football classes, yoga, zumba, dance and more.
The Hall - The building is ideally situated in Bexley High Street (DA5 1AA) at the heart of the Village. The main hall is 54ft x 30ft (16.3m x 9.4m) and can seat between 100 and 120 people depending on seating style. The rear committee room is 25 ft x 12ft (7.3m x 3.8m) and seats about 25.
Car parking - The hall has a private car park that can accommodate about 10 cars - Please close the car park gates on exit. Cars must not be left overnight. Parking is also available in either of the two local public car parks (i) Thanet Road; behind the King's Head Public House; or (ii) behind the shops opposite the hall. Both car parks are Pay & Display every day although free after 6pm.
Tables and chairs - These are located in a rack in the storeroom adjoining the main hall. There are 31 aluminium Formica top tables (circa 6 ft x 2 ft) that fold neatly. Please ensure these are wiped over before they are returned to the storeroom rack. In addition, there are a number of wooden card tables, and 125 chairs. Please ensure the chairs are stacked, no more than 6 high, as neatly as possible. Please leave 1 table and 30 chairs in the main hall and 25 chairs and 1 table in the committee room.
The Kitchen - The modern kitchen has an electric kettle, four-ring gas hob but no oven or fridge. We do not provide crockery or cutlery and hirers should make their own arrangements. There will be a clean dishcloth, a supply of washing up liquid and paper towels for hand drying, but hirers need to provide their own tea towels. As required by hygiene regulations, an additional small sink is located in the kitchen, to be used for hand washing during food preparation. Both kitchen cold-water taps are mains supply and therefore regarded as drinking water. No foodstuffs of whatever nature may be stored overnight in the hall.
